Hmm, he could just go with Cyke which I think has been thrown around (possibly more by the fans) from time to time. But like you - and having almost every issue from 1-25 when Jim Lee and Chris Claremont pencilled the series - I am disconcerted.
And now he's with Emma Frost!?
...From Psylocke to Emma Frost!?!?
This guy (and my long time favourite) is really a hit with the ladies (duh) and should probably be given an edgier perspective. Not as far as Logan and definitely not as suave as Gambit but more.. like his son Cable. A rugged son of a gun that's cocky but capable.
Also, does he still have the same power to emit laser beams of varying intensity??
I agree with you. he should be a hard arse. Hell, in the early run of Uncanny X-Men, he was a hard arse. It's when Wolvie and Gambit came along that he had to take the back seat, while these two 'enigmas' dueled it out.
I have heard rumours that not only will he be referred to as 'Cyke', but he will be able to emit lasers from anywhere in his body. Hence the 'he's only using 5% of his power' line from Civil War:X-Men #2.
What is with this 'ooo they're only using a fraction of their power' high they're on anyway? First it was 'secondary mutations, now hidden powers. Grr..perhaps this subject deserves a blog all on its own
