Nerd Crossing at MIT

January 2nd 2008 15:01

This photo was taken at the Massachussetts Institute of Technology (MIT), and shows how seriously those folks take their hard-studying ways. A lovely way to alert people to their wonderful sense of humour and self-consciousness, don't you think? At the same time I wonder if it doesn't help people to fit MIT into unhelpful stereotypes. What do you think?

I think it's hilarious. I also think that nerd isn't a bad sterotype anymore. Nerds are basically taking over the world. Remember how popular Seth from the OC was? He was a huge nerd. Ironman, essentially the biggest nerd of them all.

It's hip to be square.
