Suggestions For A New Geek Quiz

The responses to yesterday's post highlighted that there were definite omissions from the Geek Test. In his comment, Cibbuano stated that a new geek test was needed, and that Orblers could make suggestions pertinent to their own areas of geekdom.

Some categories that I think should be included are::

Academic Geek
Music Geek
Movie Geek
Comic Geek
Sci Fi Geek
Internet Geek
Gamer Geek
Technology Geek
Gamer Geek


So, my fellow Orblers, what are your suggestions for categories? What attributes should be included within them? I'm looking forward to hearing what you come up with!

Some good ones there, yoda. With the comics, I'd be inclined to add webcomics to the mix as well.

Possibly, but if you did that you might need to give a category to Star Trek, and that's not good for anybody.

Maybe if you can name the actor who speaks the line "TK-421, why aren't you at your post?" in Episode IV, you'd Geek off the meter...?

Nina, a great idea. Whoever suggested this should be greeted with cheers and chocolate brownies wherever he/she goes.

So: I think you should collect a bunch of questions for all those different categories from Orblers. It might take a while. You'll have to keep at it.

Then you can use this site to make the quiz and embed it in your blog!

I just got home. I should have watched this scene first before answering....because...Okay Yoda76...you got me.

I don't know the name of the actor who said;
"TK-421, why aren't you at your post?"

But...I do know who TK-421 is and I do know why he wasn't at his post...damn that rebel scum and faulty transmission and what I really want to know is why, if they're all supposed to be Jango Fett clones, aren't they JF-421, etc and how do all the other stormtroopers feel about TK-421's fame...being the only named stormtrooper.

They's got to be someone on Orble who knows the actor's name...help me Orble one community...you're my only hope...

And that's my line.

that is quite possibly the first time I have actually physically LOL ;o)

I don't know the name of the actor who said;
"TK-421, why aren't you at your post?"

The line was actually uttered by an aussie actor (he lives in Mosman) by the name of Peter Sumner. His character name was Lieutenant Pol Treidum. And before you crown me uber-geek, I cheated on this one - God bless imdb.com ;o)

Believe it or not there are other troopers with names - TK-422 for starters, and others in the expanded SWU (not named in the film) like Felth Devin, who ends up being identified as the utterer of that other brilliant piece of thespianism: "Look Sir, Droids!"

As for the names not being JF-xxx, my vote goes to clone batch numbers... ok... maybe I am a geek...

A trivia geek category is a great idea, D. Armenta! I am certainly one of those.

I hadn't realised that it had been so long since I posted this. I'm going to start putting a rough idea together, and hopefully post it soon.
