NOOOOOOOOO....BRIAN K. VAUGHAN, ADRIAN ALPHONA LEAVE RUNAWAYS WITH #24

It's times like these that I get sad. Sure, a puppy dies and I hardly shed a tear, a long time friend decides to move on, and I think 'whatever', a girlfreind breaks up with me and I say 'sorry you are', but this...*sniff*
After years on the Eisner award winning comic RUNAWAYS, both artist Adrian Alphona and brilliant writer Brian K. Vaughan are leaving the series with issue #24.
Their reasoning? While Brian's other books, such as Y: The Last Man and Ex-Machina both have definitive ends, Vaughn feels that Runaways could be an ongoing title. The natural conclusion ends with issue #24, so he feels it best to get out on the upmost curve of the pendulum swing, and let other writers come in and have a go.
Well to this I say BOOOOOOOO! Althoug I can understand the duo's reason for leaving, it still bites the big one. Brian K Vaughn is an extremely talented writer who has yet to pump out a dull issue. His understanding of adolescent teenagers boarders on frightening...it does...really.
Likewise, Adrian Alphona's art is the perfect compliment to these characters and Vaughns writing style. Together they formed a mighty team, one that could have taken over the world....well...wizardworld...and that's not even a real world, more like a dwarf planet...but still, they could kick your arse!
So will RUNAWAYS be the same without it's creators at the helm? Who knows, but I do know this: I'm hungry
