OMEGA FLIGHT...HOOOOOOOOOOO!!!

September 4th 2006 01:55
oooooo mysterious

CHECK IT OUT!!! This week in Toronto, Brian Michael Bendis annouced, in a rather humourous fashion, that Canada would be gettign a new set of superheroes. Alpha Flight may be dead, but OMEGA FLIGHT lives on. Let's have a look at the members of the team, from what we can see...

Well, obviously there's VIndicator. So he either survived the attack by The Collective (see New Avengers), or it's someone new in the suit. On the left we have another member of Alpha Flight, but I can't remember her name, so we shall just move along and pretend that I was really insightful in regards to her character.

In between the two previous mentioned characters, it appears Ms Jessica Drew, aka Spider-Women will be moving out of the states after Civil War. I can see that, considering her triple agent status has been bought out in public. Now, the two figures to the right...

It appears that the big Thor looking shadow guy is actually BETA RAY BILL!!! Now, I appear to be getting quite worked up over Beta Ray being in a comic, but I actually know nothing about him, and I'm just trying to get you guys worked up over the concept of a God Ram thing. WOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!

Finally, the dude with the shield. Now there has been some contention as to whether that is Captain America (although if he's in Canada, will he still be Captain America...maybe just 'The Captain', or 'Geoff'...yeah I can imagine that, 'When Geoff throws his mighty shield...'), or if it is actually USAgent. To me, that's just ridiculious. Firstly, we haven't seen USAgent since the Maximum Security storyline. Secondly, he has a triangle shield, like Cap had back in WW2. Thirdly, USAgent sucks monkey arse.

Now, it is rumoured that Cap will be in New Avengers after CIvil War is over and done with. So how can he be in two teams, two countries at once? Well firstly, Woulverine does it all the time, and secondly, lets say, hypotheticaly, that apart from using a lot of commers, and using them incorrectly I may add, that the Cap in New Avengers is actually someone else and NOT Steve Rogers in the costume. Makes sense. The U.S government put someone else in the costume to make other heroes rally behind the Super Hero Registration Act. Hmmmmm.

Well, I've rambled long enough.
