Wah, Bryne screwed up my origin
Ok, this has been annoying me for a long time now. You, yeah you. Probably all of your online buddies too. Do you guys frequent message boards and forums? You do! Post there a lot do ya? Well, there's nothing wring with that, unless of course you're one of thaose twanks that WHINGES ABOUT EVERY FREAKING THING CURRENTLY GOING ON IN A PARTICULAR MEDIUM!
Why do people do it? I'm all for expressing oneself, but I do get sick and tired of people writing about how unmasking Spider-Man will kill the character, or Gwen's character has been ruined due to Norman doing the nasty with her, or that Wolverine appears in too many books.
It's fine not to like it, but do you have to constantly remind others that is how you feel by posting those thoughts on message boards, along with "Bendis suck, I wish he were dead", and referring to the Editor in Chief Joe Quesada with one of the more original nicknames of "Joe Blows".
Sure, comics have changed, but they have changed with the times. Marvel used to be heavy on continuity, but not so much anymore. Wanna take a guess as to why that is? It's because Marvel is a business! Business' need money in order to survive. In order to survive, you need to adapt, change WITH the times. that means, in the field of comics, doing things to bring new readers into the fold. Which unfortunately means, yes, from time to time, things will happen that contradict continuity. However, as long as it's a good story, GET OVER IT!
Doing things such as unmasking Spidey gives the writers years worth of storylines to tell. Fresh storylines! Things that haven't been done before...that's a good thing for those of you keeping score at home. By refusng to move on, and adapt withthe comics, you are just stagnating. In that case, it may be better for you to get reprints of al lthe old comics from yester year.

If you wish to still get the new comics, appreciate them for the storylines. Sure 'Sins Past' was crappy, but you know what, you ignore it and move on. Marvel aren't stupid, they'll retcon anything that doesn't make sense, or was just plain bad (see the CLONE SAGA for example). Enjoy the stories for what they are. If you don't want that to be a part of the mythos of a character, either a)stop reading the comic or b) forget about that particular storyline and move on.
Guys, seriously, stop going on these forums and bitching about things. Be constructive, offer some opinions other than "Bendis and Quesada have buttsex with Mephesto". Or, I could stop visiting the boards.....naaaaaaaaaah
